The Basics

I’m a student affairs professional who who has experience in residence life, academic services, orientation, Greek Life, leadership programs, and advising. I serve as an Assistant Director for Residence Life for Academic Initiatives and Services at Indiana University Bloomington.

From 2011 – 2013 I served as a residence hall director for Shields Tower in Warren Towers at Boston University, a residence hall made up of 1,800 students, of which I oversee 600 residents, 14 resident assistants, and one senior resident assistant. By supervising my staff, adjudicating conduct meetings with students, advising a collaborative blog initiative with students, and building relationships with faculty and campus partners, I continue to  enhance the living and learning experience among my residents in Warren Towers.

Previously, I’ve worked a similar position at the University of South Carolina, where I was a residence life coordinator, overseeing an honors residence hall made up of approximately 540 residents and an apartment style complex called east quad.

While at the University of South Carolina, I served as the faculty advisor for Delta Zeta sorority and taught University 101, a freshman seminar class.

I received a bachelor’s degree, in English from the Pennsylvania State University, and a master’s degree in higher education administration from George Washington University.

I love to read, travel, cook, spend time with those who are close to me, and my job. I honestly can say I love what I do.
